Excess Sweating
Sweating excessively can impact some people with Parkinson's. It is generally a side effect to anticholinergic Parkinson's medication. Too little sweating may negatively impact the person living with Parkinson's to control body temperature causing some to overheat. This is known as hyperhidrosis.
To minimize and cope with excessive sweating:

Stay hydrated

Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing made from cotton or other natural fibers

Choose clothing that doesn't show sweat

Identify and reduce consumption of foods that may trigger sweating (spicy foods, caffeine, or alcohol).

Identify and reduce stressors that cause sweating (public speaking, crowded rooms, etc.)
