Placement Services

Senior Placement Services can help you locate the best community property for you. This can be done in one of two ways: (1) Online, or (2) with a consultant. In either of these cases, services are generally free to the person seeking the properties. The online services and consultants are paid by referral fees from the property based on what you choose.

As a result, the choices they may provide to you could depend on the referral fees they receive. In other words, there may be smaller communities that could also be an ideal choice that may not participate in referral lead services in your area. If this is the case, you may not learn of those options. Don't rule out these as great options.

When choosing a Senior Placement Service - online or by using a personal consultant locally - it is important to make sure that they fully understand your needs and will provide all opportunities to you for your consideration.

Online Approach

One of the most common and popular services available online is a Place for Mom. A Place for Mom, founded in 2000, is a privately held, for-profit senior care referral service headquartered in New York. The company provides personal and professional assistance to families in search of senior care options. Their service is free to families. The process begins by completing an online form. From there you will be sent an email to access pricing, ratings, and reviews so that you can start browsing and comparing options. You can learn more at  https://www.aplaceformom.com/. They also offer consultation over the phone by calling 1.800.769.0509.

Consultant Approach

A better and more personalized approach is choosing a local consultant who helps families locate retirement communities in their specific area. The focus is on finding the perfect community for you or your loved one. They bring the process to you by consulting with you and identifying the best communities based on your budget and care needs. They then arrange tours of the communities selected, accompany you on these tours, and serve as your advocate helping to address any questions or concerns you have, and helping you make the best decision for you or your loved one.
